Freedom from the Pit

Proverbs 23:27 says, “for an adulterous woman is a deep pit,and a wayward wife is a narrow well.” This verse can be understood figuratively to describe the allure of explicit imagery and pornography that saturates our culture. By nature, sexual sin is designed like a trap that is easy to get caught in and difficult to get out of. A person can make many attempts to get free and find themselves sliding right back to the bottom. Over time, every scheme to get free from the pit fails. A man finds himself right where he started exhausted, alone, in the dark and hopeless as to how to get free. Getting out of the pit is difficult, but not impossible. The Coaches at Free Indeed Ministries have all been at the bottom of the pit. We could not get out alone. Someone at the top let down a rope. Now, we stand ready to help the suffering captive. Encouragement is one of the key ingredients to freedom. Negativity, guilt, shame, fear, depression, and self loathing are often found to be weights drowning the addict. Constant encouragement through Biblical Discipleship is how we support change one day at a time, one step at a time. Our 20 week Freedom Fighter at home program is great choice toward change. All you need is a telephone and the desire to do whatever it takes to get out of the pit of lust. Freedom is possible. Why? Because Gods Word promises so, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me…to proclaim freedom for the prisoners…” Luke 4:18. Also Psalms 40:2, “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
